Storymaps is a GIS tool that can help share the knowledge, research or stories. It is a platform useful for sharing of observations, knowledge about places, events and experiences via maps through texts, media: images, videos, tweets, books and scientific data and reports. One can add lines of journeys and animals’ movements, narratives and places of importance, in a visual and inviting way that is easy to use. This platform being easy and inviting for the larger public can evolve to being a potential tool for education, a platform for sharing knowledge or a way for scientists to engage with local people in citizen science.
